We are looking for a team of people who are passionate about increasing awareness of aortic dissection and its risk factors, committed to raising money to support our mission, and who want to train for and run the marathon.  Here is what some past Team Ritter runners had to say about the experience:

“You have to do it!  Great race. Great Team.”

“Hands down — absolutely go for it!!!  It is a fabulous experience running the NYC marathon and working with the JRF team is great.  It’s a rewarding experience and if you have a passion for aortic disease, raising awareness and other aspects of aortic health and education, this is the organization you want to be part of!!”

Hello I’m hoping you can assist . I was very touched by your foundation which is very close to my heart as my dear Father passed away 6 months ago from this very condition. The loss is very difficult to comprehend and I would like to raise awareness . However , I live in the UK and wanted to find out if their is an equivalent set up in the UK as I would also like to run the London Marathon 2017?

    Many thanks in advance

    Mrs Alia

  2. Hi there

I have had open heart surgery to repair my aneurysm, which suddenly became symptomatic while my husband and I were on vacation.

I’m a Duke University certified health coach, a lifelong athlete, and a stress reduction teacher at a hospital cardiac rehab — and I had no idea I was at risk.

I’m passionately committed to making testing and treatment available to more people, not just lucky ones like me. I have experience in communications. I live in Manhattan. Let me know how I can help.

    Best wishes,
